Tomohisa was born in a small village near Honnō-ji, Japan. His father had died when he was very young, so his only family left to him was his mother and younger sister. Their family worked their local daimyo's fields every day. Most winters, food was scarce and Tomohisa would go fishing in the local streams to help keep the family fed.
Back during the Sengoku period, times were tough. Daimyo fought constantly, so it was hard to tell who was in control of what land at any given time. The village where he grew up was the sight of many battles. Until he was fifteen, Tomohisa had seen his family, and many of his neighbors, killed or injured. His mother died saving her two children when Tomohisa was eight; his sister soon followed his mother in death when she was twelve.
Left alone, he did what he could to keep himself fed and help the village. He'd grown rather cynical, believing that he could never be happy until he met a young woman by the name of Marina. He fell hard for her, and she him. But their love was not to last. The armies of Oda Nobunaga were moving across the land in an attempt to finally unify the daimyo of Japan, by force if necessary.
Tomohisa had been asked to work the fields in a distant part of the land, so he was there when Oda Nobunaga, notably one of Japan's greatest and fiercest generals, made their way to Honnō-ji temple. The general seemed impressed with the young farmhand, so he enlisted his help as a page. It was something Tomohisa hadn't ever expected and he was pleased to follow the man.
Some years later, when he'd grown and become the personal servant to Nobunaga, he returned to his village, only to find it burning. He'd returned to bring Marina back to Tokyo, where she would be safe while he continued his training under Oda. But when he arrived, disaster. The entire village was burned and laid to waste; the body of his love, he found violated and almost burned beyond recognition.
Overcome with grief and hatred, he returned to his master, only to discover that supposed allied forces were on the brink of attacking. It was then that Tomohisa learned the truth about Oda Nobunaga; he was a vampire, a very old one at that. Knowing his death was soon upon him, he gave Tomohisa the option. To die here and now, never to avenge his family or loved ones. Or to become a creature of the night, avenge those that were lost to him and live forever?
Filled with rage, he did the only thing he could. He accepted Oda's offer. When Akechi arrived and demanded Oda's sacrifice, the old vampire willingly complied. Committing seppuku, he watched as his page Yamashita followed suit. When the army had gone, Oda gave himself up to the light, his body dissolving into dust. When Tomohisa awoke, it was to never see the daylight again.
Centuries later, he's adapted himself to that of the humans. Wishing to pass on his knowledge, he found a young man by the name of Akanishi Jin. But that's another tale ;D

Tomohisa has been known to change hairstyles at the drop of a hat. At the moment, he has curly brown hair, which is in desperate need of a haircut. Being a vampire, however, has its limitations in that regard. As soon as he cuts it, it just grows back to its original length.
He can be seen in leather jackets most of the time, except when he's performing. He has an air of mystery about him, and very few rarely get the chance to see what's hidden behind all the barriers he puts up. Only those closest to him know the true Tomohisa, and even they can't be sure they know everything.

With no family, the only true relationship/friendship he has is with his Childe, Akanishi Jin.
